The monkey is finally off Sidney Crosby’s back.
The Pittsburgh Penguins star scored his first goal in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs during Game 3 against the New York Rangers on Monday night. Crosby took a stretch pass from defenseman Roberto Bortuzzo and sniped a shot past Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist during the second period to give the Pens a 1-0 lead.

The goal was Crosby’s first tally in thirteen games — going back to the regular season — and it also ended his career-high playoff drought, which was also 13 games dating back to last postseason.
