Team USA midfielder Jermaine Jones gave some much-needed life to Team USA during Sunday’s 2014 FIFA World Cup matchup against Portugal.
After getting off to a rough start that led to Portugal taking an early 1-0 lead, USMNT goalie Tim Howard came up huge with just seconds remaining in the first half, making a remarkable save to keep it a one-goal game.
Howard’s heroics paid off in the second half, with Jones scoring a beautiful equalizer in the 64th minute. Jones fired off a rocket to the far post that Portuguese goalkeeper Beto had no chance of saving.
