The New York Mets can’t catch a break.
They’re in the middle of their sixth straight losing season, they were victims of Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme in 2009 and now Citi Field has been hit by a shark-filled tornado.
Well, not really, obviously.
The fictional destruction is a plotline of the Syfy original movie “Sharknado 2: The Next One,” and Mets fans — including Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath and Judah Friedlander of  “30 Rock” — are forced to run for cover when a tornado full of sharks barrels through Queens, N.Y.
It apparently didn’t hit the Bronx, though, as Yankee Stadium seems to have made it out just fine.
