Lauren Hill made her college basketball debut on Sunday in front of a sold-out crowd at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she made one of the most inspirational layups of the year.
Hill, a Mount Saint Joseph freshman, is terminally ill with an inoperable brain tumor and was finally able to fulfill her dream of playing in a college basketball game.

After scoring, Hill said she’s “never felt so good in my entire life,” according to Fox Sports Ohio.
Hill’s story made its way to another Ohio basketball player by the name of LeBron James, who posted a message to Hill on his Instagram account on Monday. The caption reads: “You are simply and truly “AMAZING” Lauren Hill!!! Thank you for inspiring me and I’ll try my best to match you! Congrats on your game. Also be looking out for a package from I to You! You’re Awesome!!!”
