The Indianapolis Colts tried to catch the Patriots off guard Sunday night with a fake punt late in the third quarter, but New England wasn’t fooled.
The Colts lined up in an odd formation with almost all of their players off the line of scrimmage on 4th-and-3 from their own 37-yard line.
What could possibly go wrong? Well, as it turns out, just about everything.

That was something.
And to make matters worse for the Colts, Tom Brady found LeGarrette Blount for an 11-yard touchdown just a few plays later.
So what the heck was Indianapolis trying to do? Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe tried to explain what he saw on Twitter.

The Colts never recovered from the blunder, as Blount’s touchdown proved to be the difference in a 34-27 Patriots win.
