If the Carolina Panthers want to stay undefeated Sunday, they’ll have to do so on a bad night’s sleep.
The Panthers are in Seattle to face the Seahawks in a highly anticipated NFC showdown. Yet their preparation for the big game got off to an ominous start, as a fire alarm on the 16th floor of the team’s hotel was pulled early Sunday morning.

#Panthers players went to a staging area, a meeting space after the fire alarm went off. So they weren’t outside. But they aren’t happy.

Apparently the fire alarm only went off on the floor where the Panthers were staying, so it’s very possible some shenanigans were involved. Count backup quarterback Derek Anderson among Panthers players who believed something was afoot.
Just happened to be our floors only.. Guess that's just by chance lol

Needless to say, Anderson’s teammates weren’t too happy either.

Unfortunately for the anonymous prankster, the incident might just serve to motivate Carolina even further.
When the fire alarm goes off at 6AM.

Besides, the Panthers and Seahawks don’t play until 4:05 p.m. ET, so the players probably could sneak in a quick nap if they want to.
