BOSTON — Before taking on the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night, the Bruins paid tribute to the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
The TD Garden ice was illuminated the colors of the French flag during a pregame moment of silence, and the French national anthem — “La Marseillaise” — was played before the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The Bruins’ honorary kids captain for the night, 12-year-old Sol Feder, also carried the French tricolor onto the ice for pregame introductions.
