BOSTON — Anyone who watched this year’s NCAA Tournament knows R.J. Hunter can shoot threes with the best of them. This one should have counted for four.
With time winding down in the first quarter of Monday night’s Boston Celtics-Minnesota Timberwolves game at TD Garden, Hunter let fly a shot from beyond halfcourt.

The only thing better than Hunter’s shot was the tweet sent moments later by his father, Georgia State coach Ron Hunter, and the radio call by Celtics play-by-play man Sean Grande.

The elder Hunter was referring, of course, to this:
Hunter is averaging 3.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game as an NBA rookie this season.
