Bill Belichick surprised everyone last year when he put on his flip flops and appeared in the NFL Annual Meeting photo with all 32 head coaches. But the 2015 picture proved to be more of an outlier than anything else.
Everything went back to normal for the 2016 version, though, as Belichick and three other coaches didn’t show up for Monday’s annual picture.

Joining Belichick in not appearing were the New Orleans Saints’ Sean Payton, Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Garrett and Kansas City Chiefs’ Andy Reid. Reid didn’t show up because he is having knee replacement surgery.
And, as the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe pointed out Sunday, that wasn’t the only thing Belichick skipped. He also was spotted nowhere near NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s speech to NFL coaches and owners.
Goodell is giving a speech to head coaches, owners, etc. in a banquet room. Belichick is walking down the hall in the opposite direction.

Sorry, Roger. You’re no Kid Rock.
