Zdeno Chara had a very good reason for missing morning skate Monday.
The Boston Bruins defenseman was a late arrival to BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., one day after he and his wife, Tatiana, welcomed into the world two new members of the Chara family: twin boys Ben and Zack.

The Charas also have a 6-year-old daughter, Elliz.
Bruins coach Claude Julien confirmed to reporters in Sunrise that Chara will play Monday night against the Florida Panthers. The 38-year-old team captain has missed just two of Boston’s 66 games this season.
