Julian Edelman’s status for next week’s training camp still is unknown following his May foot surgery, but if Wednesday is any sign, New England Patriots fans shouldn’t worry too much.
The Patriots wide receiver made an appearance at Fenway Park prior to the Boston Red Sox’s game against the San Francisco Giants, and he wasn’t just there to watch. Edelman also took a few swings in batting practice and fielded some ground balls at shortstop.

If this football thing doesn’t work out for Edelman, he might have a future as a power-hitting shortstop.
