It’s baaaack!
All was relatively calm on the Deflategate front, but the underinflated football scandal reentered the news cycle in a big way Wednesday when the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals denied a petition by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to have his four-game suspension reheard en banc.
This doesn’t mean the drama is over. Brady still can take his case to the Supreme Court, and he probably will. But it’s looking more and more like Brady will be forced to miss four games and that Jimmy Garoppolo will open the 2016 season as New England’s starting quarterback.
The internet reacted accordingly.
What do U.S. Supreme Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Bill Belichick have in common? They'll both decide if Jimmy Garoppolo starts in Week 1.

DeflateGate legal fees are hovering around $25 million. Is it finally over or will Brady go to Supreme Court?

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage lasted 72 days. The divorce was finalized in 536 days. DeflateGate is now on Day 542.

I've said this many times, but I hope Brady sues #NFL for defamation. The scoundrels can't hide behind the CBA on that. Truth needs sunshine

The worst part of any negative Brady news: Goodell popping his head out of the sand for a gross media victory lap. Countdown starts now
— Rich Levine (@rich_levine) July 13, 2016
Quick reminder that Roger Goodell routinely lies and manipulates info that could prevent player death + brain damage. Not a good person

JESUS CHRIST! Let's let #Deflategate go… The final score was 45-7. The balls had nothing to do with that pathetic Colts defense
