The women’s balance beam final proved to be difficult for several gymnasts Monday, including United States star Simone Biles.
Biles was denied a chance at winning her fifth gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio when she scored a 14.733. She didn’t fall off the beam, but she needed to touch it to regain her balance. The mistake wasn’t enough to cost Biles a medal, though, as she won bronze.

Biles’ teammates, Laurie Hernandez, scored a 15.333, which won her the silver medal. Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands won gold at 15.466.
