Mookie Betts might petition the Boston Red Sox to play all 162 games at Camden Yards next season.
The Red Sox right fielder entered Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles with impressive 2016 stats against Boston’s American League East rival, particularly on the road. And Betts picked up right where he left off, launching a two-run homer into the left field bleachers off Dylan Bundy in the third inning to give the Red Sox the early lead.

The American League MVP candidate’s blast was his 31st homer of the season and 199th hit, tying him with Jose Altuve for the most in Major League Baseball at the time.
But those figures pale in comparison to Betts’ insane numbers at Camden Yards: After that homer, the 23-year-old was hitting .520 (13-for-25) with eight homers and 15 RBIs — in just seven games in Baltimore.
To put that in perspective, only seven players on the Orioles — who lead MLB in home runs — have eight or more homers at Camden Yards in 78 home games. Suffice it to say, the Orioles’ ballpark easily has been Betts’ favorite road venue in 2016.
