Sam Bradford is heading north with hopes of becoming an emergency hero.
The Minnesota Vikings acquired Bradford from the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday via trade. ESPN’s Ed Werder first reported the trade on Twitter, citing a league source.

Bradford comes to Minnesota as the Vikings’ presumed starting quarterback. He’ll reunite with running back Adrian Peterson with whom he played college football at Oklahoma.

Bradford’s departure from the Eagles means either Chase Daniel or Carson Wentz now will be the Eagles’ starting quarterback.
