Rob Gronkowski didn’t fully express himself after his 69th career touchdown as some thought he would. But his family certainly picked up the slack for him.
The New England Patriots tight end rumbled for a 53-yard touchdown Sunday on a pass from Tom Brady in the team’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field. He set a franchise record for TDs in the process and reached a number he holds near and dear to his heart, but he celebrated only with his traditional Gronk Spike and a bow.
His family’s reaction, though, was a bit more suitable to Gronk’s tastes.

This might not be the first time the Gronkowski clan has started a “69” chant, but in this case, it certainly was applicable. And in case that video wasn’t proof enough, Gronk’s family was extra proud of its All-Pro tight end.
Gronk's mom told him she'd be so proud of him when he scored his 69th touchdown. He gave her a shoutout.

Gronk finished the day with five catches and 109 receiving yards in the Patriots’ 41-25 win, which was well-attended by the Gronkowski clan, who hail from Western New York.
It’s the Gronkowskis’ world, and we’re just living in it.
