BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox’s bats had been relatively quiet despite their hot start to the season, but that all changed Tuesday night at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox’s offense came alive in the series opener against the New York Yankees, including a nine-run sixth inning that gave them a 13-run lead.
The biggest highlight of the offensive outburst came courtesy of Mookie Betts, who absolutely crushed a grand slam over the Green Monster off Yankees left-hander Chasen Shreve.

Coming off a season in which the Sox hit zero grand slams, the club already has hit two through 10 games.
