Daniel Paille was at practice on Tuesday after heading back to Buffalo to gather the belongings he left behind when he was dealt to the Bruins a week ago.
Paille skated on the same line that he was with against Ottawa on Saturday, playing with Vladimir Sobotka and Trent Whitfield at center and Blake Wheeler on the right side. The other line combinations also remained the same and were as follows:
Mark Recchi – David Krejci – Marco Sturm
Brad Marchand – Patrice Bergeron – Michael Ryder
Daniel Paille – Vladimir Sobotka/Trent Whitfield – Blake Wheeler
Shawn Thornton – Steve Begin – Byron Bitz
The blue line saw a variety of parings with the following defensemen skating:
Johnny Boychuk, Andrew Ference, Matt Hunwick, Derek Morris, Mark Stuart, Dennis Wideman and Zdeno Chara.
Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli showed up at practice in crutches. Chiarelli tore cartilage in his knee over the summer and recently had his knee scoped to clean it out.
As of 1 p.m. ET, there was no word on whether former Bruin and Hurricanes forward Stephane Yelle has passed through waivers. Yelle was placed on waivers Monday morning after registering just one assist in 10 games for Carolina. Rumors swirled that the Bruins may put in a claim on the faceoff specialist and defensive forward, but NESN.com was unable to confirm such reports.
