Knicks’ Al Harrington Fined $25,000 for Criticizing Refs

Apparently things can get worse for the New York Knicks.

With an 0-3 record — their worst start to a season since Larry Brown was the coach — the problems keep piling on for the struggling Knicks, who are anxiously waiting for the free-agent frenzy this summer. On Monday, Knicks forward Al Harrington was fined $25,000 by the NBA for criticizing the refs following a loss to the Bobcats.

After fighting back to tie the Bobcats and send the game into overtime on Friday night, the Knicks fell 102-100. It was after the game that Harrington had some words with the media about the officiating in the game.

In three games this season, Harrington is averaging 24.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
