TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays have put second baseman Aaron Hill on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury.

Manager Cito Gaston says the team wants to be cautious with the All-Star infielder. John McDonald and Mike McCoy will share duties at second until Hill returns.

Outfielder Jeremy Reed was brought up from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to Monday night's home opener against the Chicago White Sox.
