WASHINGTON — Substitute Kenny
Mansally
scored in the 80th and 82nd minutes to help the New England
Revolution to a 2-0 victory over D.C. United on Saturday night.

Mansally, who entered in the 68th
minute, redirected Chris Tierney's deflected cross past United
goalkeeper Troy Perkins to put New England (1-1-0) ahead on just its
second shot on goal. He doubled the lead moments later with a deft chip
over Perkins' head from 20 yards or so away.

D.C. outshot New England 12-8 in its
home opener, but failed to score for the second straight game after a
4-0 loss at Kansas City to open the season.

Chris Pontius missed United's best
chance, heading Brandon Barklage's cross high in the 43rd minute.
Barklage headed a good chance wide in the 61st minute.
