NEW YORK — Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is out of the lineup one day after he left a game at Baltimore with groin tightness.

Rodriguez had trouble moving to his left on Adam Jones‘ RBI single in the first inning Thursday night and Ramiro Pena hit for him in the second.

Rodriguez’s early departure came four days after he left a game against Toronto with groin tightness.

Pena was at third and batting eighth against the Houston Astros on Friday night.
