David Ortiz Successfully Distracts Hanley Ramirez to Win Home Run Derby You know, David Ortiz is a sly kind of guy.

Early in the Home Run Derby on Monday night, former Red Sox farmhand Hanley Ramirez told ESPN’s Erin Andrews that Ortiz is “like my dad.” With the nation convinced that he was tight with Hanley, Ortiz felt comfortable enough to walk right up to the Marlins’ shortstop during his final round to take him off his game.

It’s either that, or Ramirez simply ran out of gas.
