Report: Celtics ‘Close’ to Signing Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O'Neal's words of praise for the Boston Celtics on Monday night weren't empty, as a report on Tuesday afternoon says the veteran big man "seems close" to signing with the Celtics.
CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely reported via Twitter that the 38-year-old center is nearing a deal with Boston.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, O'Neal said "the Celtics would be a good program" for him to be in. Shaq said he hopes to play two more years and wants to end his career "with the right team."
