When the Philadelphia 76ers returned from the locker room after the first half of Wednesday night’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers, they did so without their head coach Doug Collins.

According to a report by the Associated Press, Collins was showing signs of vertigo after the first half, causing him to leave the game to take a trip to the hospital.

Associate head coach Michael Curry took over for Collins, who missed two preseason games this year due to a concussion sustained on Memorial Day. After neurological testing, his doctors diagnosed him with vertigo, a type of dizziness where the individual feels like they are in motion when in reality they are stationary.

Collins didn’t get to see his team win their first victory since his start as head coach in May, but he didn’t have to worry about losing the game as he left when they had a substantial 26-point lead.

Elton Brand led the 76ers with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Thassdeus Young scored 16 points, improving the team’s record 1-4 with the 101-75 victory over the Pacers.
