The first month of the season is in the books, and while there's still a long way to go in the 2010-11 campaign, things are starting to take shape.
Some of the early season abnormalities have already started to become rectified, as fast starters like Toronto are starting to find their true level with just one win in its last seven games after a 4-0-0 start. Other teams are trending back in the other direction, like Cup finalist Philadelphia finally putting things together with a 3-0-0 week.
And then there's Boston. The Bruins have played the fewest games in the league so far, but they've gotten the most out of their limited opportunities in the early going. Boston, and goalie Tim Thomas in particular, are off to a historic start. But how far will that take them this year, and how high will it place them in this week's NHL Power Rankings?
