Woodhead was medically cleared to practice this week, although he was wearing a non-contact jersey on both Wednesday and Thursday. He said before Thursday's practice session that things are going well.
"I'm trying to do everything I can to try to get better each day," Woodhead said.
Woodhead has been a valuable member of the Patriots' offensive backfield. He had career highs of 547 rushing yards, 379 receiving yards and six total touchdowns, and he set a franchise record with 5.68 yards per carry.
And in true fashion, Woodhead was more upset that he fumbled more than anything else on the play in which he was injured.
When asked if he recovered quickly from Sunday's injury, Woodhead responded, "I'm just trying, each and every day, to get ready for the game, the game plan, and that's what it is."
