Reggie Wayne Upset at Peyton Manning, Colts for Not Using Him Against Jets

The Colts lost their playoff game Saturday night, but there may be some bigger problems on the horizon.

Reggie Wayne, unhappy with his lack of involvement in the offense, vented to The Indianapolis Star after the 17-16 loss.

"I shouldn't have even suited up," Wayne said. "I should have watched the game like everybody else. I was irrelevant."

Wayne's not far off, as he was targeted just once the entire game. Part of that was likely because Darrelle Revis was on him, but Wayne felt he deserved a better chance to contribute.

"It's bull," he told the Star. "It's bull, man. I give everything I've got, no matter what. Every day, I give it everything, and … one ball, that's all."

Peyton Manning said it was mostly about taking what the defense was giving him than it was about ignoring his top target.

"Reggie Wayne has had an unbelievable year," the quarterback said, according The Associated Press. "There's no question he was a big focus of their defense. It was just a matter of throwing to the guy that was open on each progression, depending on what the coverage was."
