Kendrick Perkins has spent his entire career in Celtic green, so one can imagine that the shocking trade to the Thunder had an effect on the center.

With Perk's hardened exterior, it's difficult for most to see the softer side of the eight-year veteran, but his teammate and Oklahoma City travel buddy Nate Robinson admitted that Perk took the trade news pretty hard, The Boston Globe reports.

"With Perk, everybody thinks he's mean because of how he looks," Robinson said. "But he's a soft giant. He has a good heart. … He's taking it pretty hard because he's been here eight years. He was real emotional, crying. I feel bad for him."

Trying to help his teammate with the adjustment, Robinson — who experienced the trade block last season – said he stepped in with some positive advice.

"I told him he's not alone," Robinson said. "We're going together. It's not like you'll be by yourself."

Robinson also took to his Twitter to thank the fans of Boston, who graciously welcomed the energetic shooting guard at last season's deadline.

"Will miss all my Boston fans I love y'all, u guys showed me love," the tweet read. "[Eddie House's] shoes tough to fill and y'all made it EZ for me to fill em."
