Evan Longoria needs a ride.
The Rays' star third baseman's classic Chevy Camaro was stolen off a fenced-in lot, according to The Arizona Republic, and he doesn't expect to ever see his car again.
"I'm sure that it's long gone by now,'' Longoria said, according to Mark Tompkins of the St. Petersburg Times. "I hope they find it, but odds are if they do, it's not going to be in the same shape when it left."
The Republic reported that classic car theft has become common in Southern California and has perhaps spilled over to Arizona, where Longoria was having the work done on his car.
For his part, Longoria appears to be bummed but not crushed.
"It sucks," he said, "but what can you do?"
Well, when you're due to make about $42.5 million over the next six years, you can probably just go out and get another one.
