For the second time this season, Celtics captain Paul Pierce has been recognized as the Player of the Week in the NBA's Eastern Conference.

Pierce was given the honor on Monday after leading the Celtics to a perfect 4-0 week with wins over Utah, Phoenix, Golden State and Milwaukee. He shot an efficient 27-for-46 (58.7 percent) over that stretch, averaging 21.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest.

Pierce first won the award on Dec. 20. He's one of two Celtics take home the prize this season — Rajon Rondo won it in the first week of the season.

Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder won Player of the Week honors in the Western Conference.
