Professional athletes can now walk around just a little more casually.

TMZ's plans to launch a full-fledged site tracking the personal lives of athletes have gone by the wayside, according to a report in the New York Post.

The report says that TMZ had begun hiring writers and editors for a TMZ sports site, but the project is no more. It is reportedly due to lack of interest.

This won't mean the likes of Tiger Woods, Tom Brady and other superstars won't be covered, but you can probably expect a little less coverage of Coco Crisp and Stromile Swift.
