Larry Bird, Mike Lowell Among Those Being Honored at Sports Museum’s 10th Annual ‘The Tradition’

The Sports Museum has announced its list of honorees for the 10th annual "The Tradition," with Larry Bird headlining the selections.

The Tradition will be held on June 28 at TD Garden, and Micky Ward, Ty Law, Mike Lowell, Willie O'Ree and Bobbi Gibb will join Bird as honorees.

Bird will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ward, a former WBU boxing champion and the subject of the 2010 film The Fighter, will receive the Boxing legacy award, and Law, a three-time Super Bowl Champion with the Patriots. will receive the Football Legacy Award. The recently retired Lowell will receive the Baseball Legacy Award, and O'Gee, the "Jackie Robinson of Hockey," will receive the Hockey Legacy Award. The Special Achievement Award will go to Gibb, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon in 1966.

Tickets are now on sale for the event.
