TAMPA, Fla. — While several bruins got the day off on Friday, Patrice Bergeron did practice one day after returning to the lineup. He showed no effects from the concussion that kept him out of the first two games.

Also skating was Milan Lucic, though Julien did confirm what has been suspected — the big winger is battling through a minor injury.

Even a bit banged up, Lucic turned in one of his strongest games of the playoffs on Thursday, setting up Krejci's early goal and getting the play that lead to Boston' second goal started with a dump-in that eventually led to Andrew Ference's goal.

"He was good," Julien said of Lucic. "His forecheck. He chipped pucks in. He went after the puck aggressively, and when you see a guy like Milan coming at you, it makes you nervous and can put you on your heels. So he created a lot of turnovers.

"It just kind of reminded me him that the biggest asset of his game is about winning battles," Julien added. "And I thought he did a great job of refocusing and bringing that part of his game back to that game that night. So I thought he was a really good player for us. As you said, he's just battling a minor injury, but he's battling through it."
