Here's some good news, Green Bay Packers: Your Super Bowl rings will be designed by Jostens.
Now, here's some bad news: You still don't have a league.
The Packers announced that they'd be using Jostens to create this year's rings, the same company that designed the franchise's first three Super Bowl rings. Jostens has also designed 29 of the 45 Super Bowl rings in NFL history.
However, as noted by The Associated Press, there's still no schedule for the players receiving their rings, as the lockout presents several hurdles. Players typically have a say in the design of the ring, but given that teams aren't allowed to communicate with players during the lockout, it's hard for the players to have much say. Team president and CEO Mark Murphy, though, did say he talked with players before the lockout began to "get comments from our captains."
The team won't need to get send in their ring size, however, as head coach Mike McCarthy had all of his players sized before the Super Bowl as a motivational tactic.
