If Shaq has played his final game, where does the big man rank in the annals of NBA history?
During his stretch of dominance from 1997 to 2003, Shaq’s lowest player efficiency rating was 28.8, well higher than LeBron James‘ NBA-leading 27.3 mark in 2010-11. That’s how dominant O’Neal was.
The 7-foot-1 superstar also has been a league MVP, four-time world champion and holds numerous career marks.
Those accolades are enough to put Shaq ahead of David Robinson, Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon on the list of all-time greats at the center position. And only a few giants left a bigger mark on the game than the Big Diesel.
