Few things go together better than soccer and beer.

Understanding that concept, ESPN.com reports that Budweiser has agreed to become the new sponsor of the FA Cup, soccer's oldest domestic cup tournament.

As America's "King of Beers" looks to broaden their global appeal, Budweiser looks to reflect that desire for appeal to the FA Cup and return the tournament to glory.

"Clearly it is an aspiration to get the cup final back as a day on its own without other matches," Football Association chairman David Bernstein told ESPN.com

Due to the Champions League Final being help at Wembley Stadium this past May, the FA Cup Championship had to be played on the same day as English Premier League matches, the first time these two events coincided in over 50 years.
