Gene DeFilippo, the athletic director at Boston College, released a statement Friday reiterating his commitment to the college.
"While I am a Tennessee graduate [Master's Degree] and love UT and Knoxville, my heart is here at Boston College. I am very fortunate to have the only job I want. Anne and I will remain at BC for many years to come," DeFilippo said.
An open position as the athletic director at the University of Tennessee led to media speculation concerning DiFilippo's future with Boston College. However, it seems that the current BC athletic director will remain in Chestnut Hill.
