When Manchester United's Wayne Rooney biked home what he called the best goal of his career back in February, the entire soccer world assumed it would be the play of the year.
Rooney may now have some competition on that front, and it comes in the form of MLS rookie Darlington Nagbe.
The Portland Timbers forward made his first professional goal a memorable one, to say the least. With his team trailing Sporting KC 2-0 on Saturday near the end of the first half, Nagbe — stationed just outside the 18-yard box — juggled the ball twice out of midair before striking it into the top-left corner.
While KC eventually held on for the 2-1 win, it was Nagbe's goal that would steal the headlines. Check it out in the video below.
