Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard’s Progressing in Rehab for Groin Injury, Expected to Return Next Month

After just one game the jury is still out on how much help Liverpool still needs, but the team could have one of its leaders return in September — captain Steven Gerrard.

The midfielder aims to return next month, and he is picking up the pace of his training, the Liverpool Daily Post reported.

Gerrard suffered a groin injury earlier and was hospitalized a few weeks ago because of an infection.
