Alex Morgan came away from the Women's World Cup this summer as one of the new heroes of American soccer. That's all well and good, but if she works at it, she may be able to crack the Kansas City Royals rotation.

Morgan and her U.S. soccer teammates are in the Midwest for an upcoming exhibition game in Kansas City against Canada, and the Royals invited her to throw out the first pitch before Thursday's game.

Guyism.com posted some video from the event which originally came from the U.S. Women's Soccer Team's YouTube page. Morgan made the most of her experience, and didn't take the first pitch honors lightly. The video shows the forward getting some practice in underneath Kauffman Stadium before taking the field.
