Arsenal Attacker Yossi Benayoun Out for At Least a Week With Side Strain The injury bug has bit Arsenal again. This time, it sunk its teeth into midfielder Yossi Benayoun. The schemer suffered a strained side and will be out of action for at least a week, according to Sky Sports.

“So happy for the win yesterday and with my first goal for the club but very disappointed as I have a strain and will be out for a week or so,” he said on twitter.

Benayoun only recently joined the Gunners, when he moved across London on loan from Chelsea at the close of the summer transfer window. He’s played only three games for his new club and scored his first Arsenal goal in Tuesday’s Carling Cup win over Shrewsbury.

The 31-year-old Israeli international is looking to recapture the form that saw him move from Liverpool to Chelsea in the summer of 2010 for £6.2 million ($9.5). He missed most of last season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
