Eliza Dushku, Boston Native and Red Sox Fan, Receives Honor at Global Generation Awards for Humanitarian Work in Uganda

Eliza Dushku is known for her acting career in television and movies, but she is perhaps better known in  Boston for being an avid Red Sox diehard

Dushku was in the city on Sept. 17 for the first-ever Global Generation Awards at Northeastern University, The Boston Globe reports. She was honored for her humanitarian work in Uganda with her mother, Suffolk University associate professor Judith Dushku. Fellow honorees included Sen. John F. Kerry, UN Foundation’s Gillian Sorensen and Invisible Children filmmaker Jason Russell.

Former Celtics forward Rick Fox accompanied Eliza. Nancy Brady, the sister of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and an activist who has traveled to Africa to enact change, also attended the ceremony.
