Arsenal Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny Would Not Rule Out Barcelona Move

ESPN soccernet reports that highly-rated Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny would not rule out a move to Barcelona in the future. The 21-year-old shot-stopping specialist has firmly entrenched himself as the number one at Arsenal despite his young age. He signed a five-year contract with the club in Nov. 2010, but that does not mean he will commit to the Gunners beyond that deal. 

The Polish international reportedly told polskathetimes.pl, "I can't declare that I will spend my entire career here, but if I leave I will have a very important reason or I will go to Barcelona."

In less than a year, Szczesny overtook Manuel Almunia and fellow countryman Lukas Fabianski as manager Arsene Wenger's first choice goalkeeper. He has earned praise for his dependability and on-field leadership. His composure while under siege in the Arsenal goal has undoubtedly impressed the European champions. Reports linking him with a move to Spain have emerged in recent days. 

Szczesny has appeared 35 times for Arsenal and is one of the few bright spots in the club's miserable beginning of the 2011-12 season.  He vowed that, unlike some recent departures, riches alone would not tempt him away from North London. 

He said, "I can't imagine a situation where I would leave this club just for money."
