Days after the Big Ten Conference announced it would be removing former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno's name from the championship trophy, a plan was hatched to get his name back on.
Jay Paterno, Joe's son and the current quarterbacks coach at Penn State, was asked about his reaction to hearing his father's name would be removed, during which he revealed his not-so-elaborate plan, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"The only reaction I had was, let's get there and win it and put it back on," he said. "We'll bring it on a Post-it note. We'll stick it right back, but we've got to get to the game first."
The trophy had been called the Stagg-Paterno Trophy prior to the removal of Paterno's name.
Penn State will have to go through Wisconsin and Michigan State if it wants to have a chance at returning Joe Paterno's name to the trophy. Even then, though, a Post-it likely won't last too long.
