The Celtics will be even thinner in the post Sunday when they take on one of the best front lines in the NBA.

Chris Wilcox, who has become a key player off the Celtics' bench this season, is out indefinitely with a "cardiac issue," according to reports.

Wilcox missed Friday's game for "personal reasons," and coach Doc Rivers did not give details of Wilcox' absence.

The Celtics are already shorthanded due to Jermaine O'Neal's severely sprained wrist. O'Neal reportedly is mulling whether to undergo season-ending surgery or to receive a cortisone shot and return this season.

Center Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol are averaging 33.7 and 23.1 rebounds combined for the Lakers, who the Celtics take on Sunday afternoon.
