Olympics Schedule for Sunday Includes Men’s Basketball, Men’s 4×100-Meter Freestyle Relay

After a day that saw Michael Phelps fail to medal for the first time since the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Ryan Lochte blow away the field to win the United States' first gold and Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings begin their quest for three straight beach volleyball titles, Team USA was tied for second with five overall medals.

As Day Three dawns, the schedule has just as many highlights as Team USA looks to continue its success. All times listed are Eastern Standard Time.

7:00 a.m., Bravo — Tennis
Venus Williams is in action, as are Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, the latter playing doubles.

9:30 a.m., NBC Sports Network Men's Basketball, USA vs. France
LeBron James
, Kobe Bryant and company can finally get down to the business of seeing if they can beat teams that currently exist, rather than boasting about their superiority to the Dream Team of 1992. Their first test comes against Tony Parker and the French.

9:30 a.m., NBColympics.com (Live stream — will be shown on NBC in primetime) — Women's Gymnastics Team Qualification
The American squad, which includes Needham, Mass., native Aly Raisman, is said to be Team USA's best chance at team gold since Kerri Strug and the Magnificent Seven in 1996.

9:55 a.m., NBColympics.com (Live stream — will be shown on NBC in primetime) — Women's 3m Synchronized Springboard Final
Americans Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnston go for gold.

11:45 a.m., NBC — Men's Volleyball, USA vs. Serbia
Team USA starts the defense of its surprising gold-medal performance from Beijing in 2008.

2:20 p.m., NBColympics.com (Live stream — will be shown on NBC in primetime) — Swimming Finals, including the Men's 4x100m Freestyle
Phelps will quickly get a shot at redemption in one of the marquee swimming races, which four years ago produced an all-time Olympic moment when Jason Lezak swam down the French to keep Phelps' dream of eight gold medals alive.
