Denver Nuggets Launch Online Comic That Is Neither Cool Nor Funny

Somewhere in the Denver Nuggets team offices, a couple of people in the graphic design department are slapping their knees and having a good chuckle.

The rest of us, though, are just confused.

The Nuggets jumped in on the online comic book non-craze by launching Adventures in Nuggets Nation, a graphic novel-like thing on the team's official Facebook page. While much of the comic genre is known for being either cool (Batman, The Avengers, Hellboy) or funny (Calvin & Hobbes, The Far Side, Get Fuzzy), the Nuggets comic breaks convention by being neither.

If there is humor in "AINN," as it is commonly referred to in an acronym we just made up, they are so deep in the inside-joke variety that the amusement must be lost on the vast majority of readers. The comic features Andre Iguodala getting a haircut, JaVale McGee bowling, Kenneth Faried lifting weights in a park and team mascot Rocky vrooming around in a creepy van.

The comic is only five pages long, including the cover, and ends abruptly with coach George Karl announcing, "It's time to talk TEAMNESS!!!" We imagine hilarity ensues, or the Nuggets go out and triumph over evil (e.g. the Lakers).
