Who knew the second coming of Nostradamus was lurking in the 49ers’ locker room?

Colin Kaepernick not only had aspirations when he was younger of someday becoming an NFL quarterback. He knew it was a certainty.

Kaepernick wrote himself a letter when he was in fourth grade that declared exactly what he was going to do in life. The second-year signal caller boldly predicted that he would attend a good college before ultimately playing professional football for either the Packers or 49ers.

Kaepernick, who was also an All-State pitcher while in high school, eventually had to decide whether to pursue a career on the diamond or on the gridiron. Clearly, it was never much of a debate, though, and his decision to accept his only football scholarship offer might have been one of the easier decisions he’s ever made.

Kaepernick’s letter, which was revealed during Sunday’s Patriots-49ers game, starts off with the Milwaukee native calling himself a good athlete. He’s definitely right about that, and it’s a good thing, because that penmanship wasn’t getting him anywhere.
