Kansas appeared to be taking all measures to stop Mitch McGary on Friday night, and the Jayhawks still couldn’t contain the big Michigan forward.
Early in the Michigan-Kansas matchup, Jayhawks guard Elijah Johnson hit McGary below the belt as the Wolverine was setting a pick. McGary called it “blatant” after the game, and a technical foul was called on Johnson.
McGary led the game with 25 points and 14 rebounds as Michigan beat Kansas 87-85 in overtime after Wolverines guard Trey Burke hit a game-tying 3-pointer late in the second half. Check out Johnson’s cheap shot in the video below.
